Why wear headwear at all?
In addition to the fashionable complement of the outfit, headwear, regardless of its design, also serves functional aspects. The main task of headgear is to protect the head, face, neck and nape from cold, wind, rain, sun, sand and insects in everyday life as well as on outdoor adventures. This part of the body also deserves adequate protection from external environmental influences. In pucto design, function and material headwear differ enormously. It starts with a woolen hat for a leisurely stroll through the city and ends with a functional scarf for a morning jog. Which headwear is suitable for spring/summer?
During the hot summer months, outdoor activities leave you unprotected from direct sunlight. This is exactly when headwear should be worn. For maximum protection, choose headgear that can block UV-A and UV-B radiation. At eXXpozed we offer the following variants for the summer in our assortment:

Our multifunctional scarves are so versatile - for climbing, ski touring, trail running or cycling. Functional and resilient materials make them ideal for changing weather and any outdoor excursion. So in the twinkling of an eye from these special scarves a cap, a headband, a scarf, a sweatband and even a mouth and nose protection can be conjured.
What headwear is suitable for autumn/winter?
Unlike summer, the challenge in winter is not to lose too much heat on the head. Functional, insulating and durable properties are therefore essential. In our online store you can choose between the following models:

Headwear such as caps must ensure to store heat and keep your head warm at all times. They protect you from cold and wet.
Headbands especially protect the ears against wind and weather and are especially useful for more athletic activities. Excellent temperature regulation and breathability ensure warm ears and transport excess heat to the outside via the free head area. If it still gets too warm, this all-purpose weapon can be conveniently stowed in the jacket pocket or backpack.
Balaclavas have become especially popular for outdoor sports such as skiing and snowboarding. They protect the face from adverse weather conditions and keep snow and wetness away as far as possible. It is also a useful helper under the helmet and hardly noticeable.
Scarves can be combined casually to the urban outfit. Thus, the autumn or winter outfit can easily be upgraded with a fashionable addition.
Which hats should be chosen for which area of use?
Basically, you can distinguish between thinner and thicker caps. The thicker wool and knitted caps are particularly suitable for winter outings such as a walk, a city stroll or a leisurely snowshoe tour. Here, the sporting participation should be low, as these caps do not have a functional moisture management. For more active sports such as cross-country skiing, climbing or cycling, thinner caps made of materials such as merino wool, polyester and fleece come into question. These can be pulled comfortably under a climbing or cycling helmet and effectively protect the head from the cold. Especially on windy days, a cap with additional Windstopper material is advantageous. The favorite sport can be performed as usual despite difficult conditions and the wind does not unnecessarily disturb the ears.
