The Microfilter Vario by KATADYN is a simply operated filter with individual performance that can be operated with 2 or 3 filtering stages.
In the outdoors, you need a water filter for all conditions - clear or dirty water or it smells chemical. The Vario by KATADYN is adjustable for different conditions producing either longer filtering or faster through-put. The double-action pump ensures steady performance with minimum energy loss. The base can be adapted to fit directly on to flasks, hydration systems or containers.
The technology of the Vario by KATADYN consists of three filter levels: a high-performance glass fibre filter, a ceramic pre-filter that can be adjusted individually according to the cloudiness of the water, and active charcoal for eliminating odours. Anyone who needs up to two litres of drinking water per minute can use the glass fibre and active charcoal filter. If the water is extremely cloudy, the ceramic pre-filter can be adjusted in a moment in order to extend the service life of the glass fibre filter.
The exchangeable charcoal filter enhances taste and in addition extracts chemicals and pesticides. In "Longer Life” mode the turbid water is first prefiltered throught the ceramic disk. When operating in mode “Faster Flow” the water is directed straight to the glassfiber membrane, increasing the water flow to up to 2 l/min.
The Vario is compatible with most standard outdoor bottles and hydration bladders. As accessoires the filter by KATADYN has a ceramic pre-filter and a protection bag, as well as a hose with a length of 92 cm.
