The crampon G14 New-Matic Evo by GRIVEL is equipped with a total of 12 points and is ideally suited for technical mountaineering.
The 2 front points of the G14 New-Matic Evo by GRIVEL are hot-forged, replaceable and can be mounted in both bi-point and mono-point configuration. The forging allows a three-dimensional shape to improve both penetration into the ice, without rebounds, and support. They can be replaced if worn out. Equipped with the famous GRIVEL proactive Antibott both in the front and the rear.

EVO System:
The EVO bindings by GRIVEL are a significant improvement of the crampons that were previously on the market. The strap became much narrower, thinner and lighter. After putting on the crampon, it no longer needs to be knotted at the front. Instead of the two rings where the strap was previously pulled through to the front and then knotted, you now have a small buckle on the EVO models: The strap goes through thit buckle to the back of the crampon. Instead of knotting, it is then simply pulled through the intended opening on the lever at the back.
New-Matic System:
An evolution of the Cramp-O-Matic system which utilises the C-O-M rear bale and lever. The plastic harness system is hinged from two front posts which retain the boot securely even if it has a shallow, worn front welt or overboots are being used. It is a simple and efficient binding, being far more versatile than the original Cramp-O-Matic style. Made in dual-component plastic: the black part is stronger, bearing the strain, whilst the yellow part is softer, increasing adherence to the boot. The harness is made from the strongest, most durable plastic available -Zytel DuPont, which was developed for the manufacture of alpine ski bindings. Obviously it cannot last forever, so please, after long and severe use replace the harness the same way you would resole trekking boots or rock climbing shoes.
