Alien Cams is the place to go when it comes to trad climbing, meaning traditional climbing. A form of sport climbing in which the safety equipment is only attached during the climb and removed immediately afterwards. David Waggoner developed a clamping wedge that over time replaced the pitons used in trad climbing. As early as 1985, the first Alien Cams models hit the market. The special feature: The clamping wedges have the ability to secure in the smallest cracks and other terrain, revolutionizing the trad sport as well as the mentality of climbers. Shortly thereafter, Alien Cams became essential equipment for every wall climber. All Alien Cams are assembled by hand in St. Quirze Besora (Barcelona).
